What is a vehicle wrap?
A vehicle wrap is a large, vinyl decal that allows you to change the exterior of your vehicle in a short amount of time. A vehicle wrap consists of a custom design, which is developed by communication between you the customer and our professional designers, then printed on premium vinyl designed for vehicles , laminated, and finally installed or "wrapped" on a vehicle. The wrap is applied directly to the vehicle. The application is so flawless that it is often mistaken for a custom paint job.

Can you see through the windows after the graphics are applied?
Yes. Perforated vinyl films especially designed for window graphics have small holes in them which allow you to see outside from your car or truck windows.

How long does the process take?
10-30 days, depending on the complexity of the design and installation time. Installation typically takes 1 day per vehicle or longer depending on the size.

What do I need do to prepare my vehicle?
Vehicles must be washed in a car wash a few hours before they're brought into our facility for graphics installation. The vehicle should be washed preferably at a place that can use brushes or pressure-washing to remove road grime from the low-lying parts inside along the fender edge, inside the door panels etc. where dirt usually accumulates. Wax, polish, grease, or grime interferes with the graphics adhesive and therefore must be cleaned-if necessary-using industrial cleaners and/or non-silicone based detergents (any cleaning chemical must be tested on the vehicle in an inconspicuous area to make sure it will not mar the paint surface).
Once the vehicle is brought into our facility we clean it with isopropyl alcohol and other chemicals to remove any remaining oily residue, dirt, and contaminants. Special attention is placed on the vehicle's cracks and crevices, where contaminants generally accumulate. We then perform a vehicle inspection and take note of places that have any kind of surface damage like paint scratches, dents etc. This inspection helps as a guideline to ensure that our clients know about any surface problems on the vehicle.

Can the wrap be removed later?
Absolutely! The wrap is actually applied to the vehicle using pressure-sensitive adhesives. Although the wrap will not come off by itself, it can be removed with the exception of graphics applied to the roof. The removal process is very short and any remaining adhesion residue is easily removed using isopropyl alcohol.

Will it damage my paint?
No. The wrap will not damage your OEM paint. The material used actually protects your paint job from minor scratches and ultraviolet light. It also protects the paint from the light pitting that can occur from highway impact with sand, grit, insects and environmental fallout.
How long will the wrap stay on my vehicle?
Normally a wrap can stay on between 4 to 6 years depending on how well you treat it. Digital graphics are guaranteed for up to 3 years by the manufacturers ( Avery-Dennison, 3M (tm), Oracal (r)) against material degradation, color loss, and adhesion for the southwest US.

Is it easy to maintain?
Definitely! Vehicle wraps are made from high tensile strength vinyl with a gloss laminate. It requires no waxing to maintain its shine and luster. Simply wash with soap and water. No polishing, waxing, or buffing needed! It is best to hand-wash your wrapped vehicle. In general, avoid power washing and do not use an ice-scraper. Brushing windows and the use of a rear defroster will cause no damage to your window wrap.
If you feel the need to polish your vehicle, do not use petroleum based products.
Are there visible seams?
Standard vehicles including cars, trucks, minivans and SUVs are virtually seamless. The exception applies to large trailers, vans, etc. that require multiple panels, making it impossible to eliminate seams.

What can be wrapped?
Anything! We can wrap vehicles, boats, box trucks, trailers, vans and any other surface imaginable. We've wrapped fridges, mailboxes, laptops, floors, and windows.

Can parts of a wrap be changed to reflect a new phone number or a new address?
Yes! If you happen to move and need to change your phone number, website address, or any other information on the wrap, a portion of the wrap can be reprinted with the new information and applied to your vehicle.

Why should I purchase a vehicle wrap?
Vehicle Advertising vs. Traditional: When you begin to compare the numbers, vehicle advertising is a no-brainer. According to a study by Arbitron, Inc., 96% of Americans travel in a vehicle each week as either a driver or a passenger. If you compare this to other forms of advertising, only 66% of Americans read a daily newspaper. With mobile advertising, exposure is not limited to consumers of different socio-economic spectrums. Outdoor media reaches consumers not exposed or lightly exposed to newspapers, local television, etc. According to the Traffic Audit Bureau, 91% of all people notice the words and pictures on vehicles.
Companies spend thousands of dollars each year in advertising expenses. The average full page display ad in the Yellow Pages can cost up to $15,000 a year. In the phone book, all competitors are sharing the same space therefore brand recognition is going to be the determining factor in consumers' selection. Not only that, but you have to hope that someone will pick up that right directory you are located in and then select you from the list.
Cost Effective: Fleet and Vehicle graphics are a highly cost-effective way to promote your business around town and across the country where your vehicles/delivery trucks are on route. Once we apply the graphics to your vehicles, there is no monthly expense. You keep running your ads rent-free month after month. Compare that with radio, TV, print Yellow Pages or billboard advertisement where you have to pay every time you run an Ad. Consider getting customized vehicle graphics from us that can help you build awareness at a fraction of your current advertising expenditures in other media.
High Visibility: The graphics on your trucks, buses and vans are in constant motion and reach millions of people everyday. Once we have created graphics on your vehicle they are visible 24/7 everywhere your vehicle goes including parking lots, malls, restaurants, shopping centers, schools, etc.
In The End: Comparing the costs and benefits of the use of vehicle advertising to traditional advertising, the choice is clear. By investing in vehicle wraps or fleet graphics from Hightech Signs, you are taking the next step in creating brand recognition and high visibility for your company. Join the rage and let us show you how we can make a difference.
